Traditionally worn as a wrapper by women of the Baoulé tribe. Cotton yarn dyed in indigo using the warp ikat method, handwoven into narrow strips, then stitched together into a whole cloth. 100% cotton.
From Côte d’Ivoire.
Great for a blanket or throw.
A distinctive, decorative wallhanging.
Though this cloth could be up to 25 years old, it is in excellent condtion. The indigo colour has aged gracefully and the cloth has a lovely, soft feel.
