As we prowl the villages and markets of Africa searching out terrific textiles, we often stumble on other interesting - and irresistable - treasures.

Sitting with the traders and artisans themselves, we learn more and more about Africa's rich and varied cultural traditions.

These wonderful artefacts are a big part of that story.

Some items are purely decorative. Some are functional and beautiful as well.
