Handwoven tree cotton strips sewn into a blanket. Closely woven, thick and very soft. Then hand-dyed in natural kola nut by Musah Jaiteh in Sukuta, The Gambia.
Tree cotton grows on the 'silk cotton' tree, part of the kapok family. Because of its short staple, it is difficult to spin into a yarn. For this reason, this cloth is a blend of tree cotton weft with cotton warp.
