High quality plain cotton fabrics from Egypt
These are the same quality cotton fabrics that are used by the famous appliqué artists of Islamic Cairo, usually referred to as the "tent makers". They have a lovely soft feel to them and the colours are fantastic!
Fabrics are 150 cm / 59 in wide, approximately. Fat Quarters are 50 x 50 cm / 20 x 20 in, approximately.
A note about these fabrics
Following a customer query, I have tested these fabrics and determined that there is a very small percentage of man-made fibre mixed with the cotton.
This surprised me because I was assured by my trusted supplier in Cairo that they are 100% cotton.
Also, all the quilters and stitchers who have used these fabrics have loved its quality look and feel.
In order to put your mind at ease prior to purchase, I am happy to post out a full colour set of swatches free of charge.
Please wash and iron as blended cotton.
